Bookkeeper or accountant: who does what?
How the two roles fit together, and where you can save.

How to catch up on your books in 30 days
A simple plan to clear a backlog before a deadline.
01What's the difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant?
A bookkeeper keeps your day-to-day records accurate. An accountant uses those records to prepare annual accounts and tax returns. We do the first, and work alongside your accountant on the second.
02Do you do tax returns or annual accounts?
Not at present. We keep your books clean and year-end ready, so your accountant's work is quicker.
03Is there a contract?
A simple engagement letter, with 30 days' notice. No long tie-ins.
04Why do you need ID?
Anti-money laundering law requires us to verify every client's identity before we start work.
